notes*: Tinker Bell This piece is one of a series of paintings commissioned by The Toon Studio of Beverly Hills for me to recreate retro Storybook characters using my neomanneristic, urban style. I call these characters “Urban Toons” Tinkerbell is the subject of this painting. I wanted to show her rocking a club as DJ Tinkerbell. Her flying skills allow her to spin the turntables mid-air. She is wearing a necklace with her initials, TB, and is sporting her pom-poms on her boots. The crowd below is dancing out of control and vibin’ to Tink’s tunes
