Foster is shown here, circa 1920, calling his team together while scribbling instructions to be administered to his players. The team, having traveled first class in a plush and comfortable rented Pullman train car (most teams traveled by bus or passenger car), has just arrived in town to play a local team. They are greeted by curious local children as they disembark from the car. Pictured are: Christobal Torriente (second from right), Bingo DeMoss (seventh from right in brown suit), and Dave Malarcher (walking down steps).
