The Family Tree Remarque - Kadir Nelson is an award-winning artist and illustrator whose works have been published by Sports Illustrated, The New Yorker, Coca-Cola, The New York Times, Major League Baseball, and Nike, among others. In 1996, Nelson served as the lead "Conceptual Artist" for Steven Spielberg's feature film, "Amistad."
Nelson has also illustrated several best-selling picture books that reviewers from The New York Times, Kirkus, and Publishers Weekly describe as "Transcendent," "Powerful," and "Elegant." Presently, over a two dozen children's books are in print including MOSES: When Harriet Tubman Led Her People To Freedom, by Carole Boston Weatherford, which won a Caldecott Honor, and Coretta Scott King and NAACP Image Awards.
