The Get Down The concept of “The Get Down” was originally inspired and commissioned by a hip-hop event in California known as Mighty 4. The Mighty 4 was established to preserve the four cornerstones of the hip-hop culture: Emcee-in’, DJ-in’, Graffiti, and B-boyin’/girlin’.
