notes*: City Lights and Love This painting was created during a series of paintings that I wanted to capture different couples in the city environment. The couple depicted in this painting is enjoying wine on a balcony with the cityscape in the background. The entire scene is alive. The focal point of this piece is the couple; however, note the buildings in the background. They curve and move like bodies. There is just as much life is the buildings as there is in the characters. The woman in this piece was inspired by my wife.
